Testdroid Helps Mobile Game Developers Access NVIDIA Tegra K1-Powered Android Devices on Cloud

The popular cloud-based game developer platform to enable instant access to Tegra K1-based Android Devices

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – November 4, 2014 – Bitbar Inc., the creator of Testdroid – the most advanced cloud-based Android and iOS development and testing service for apps and games, announced today instant access to NVIDIA Tegra K1-powered Android gaming devices through the cloud service.

As of today, Testdroid Cloud will host various Tegra K1-based Android devices and enable application- and game-developers to access these devices for developing, testing, and verifying the maximal performance and compatibility with the latest Android games under development, with either manual, automated or API access.

Devices powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 mobile processor and its 192-core Kepler-based GPU, including the SHIELD tablet, bring the best capabilities to mobile gaming today. Tegra K1 is the first processor to support the new Android Extension Pack in Android 5.0 Lollipop, and also supports the most advanced graphics APIs – OpenGL 4.4, OpenGL ES 3.1, DX12 – just like on PCs and next-gen consoles, allowing developers to more easily bring their games to mobile devices.

“Mobile game developers have found our Testdroid Cloud service very effective and one of the critical milestones when preparing their game to go out for gamers,” said Jouko Kaasila, President and CEO of Bitbar Inc. “We’re very excited to work together with NVIDIA to help our mobile game developer ecosystem access these powerful Tegra K1-based devices, providing them with our best features, tools and support to make next-gen games with stunning user experiences.”

“Gaming is blossoming on Android, and Tegra K1-powered devices, such as the SHIELD tablet, are allowing developers to create games that rival what’s on next-gen consoles,” said Keita Iida, Senior Director, Global Content Management at NVIDIA. “Testdroid Cloud will provide developers with instant access to the best mobile gaming devices on the market, helping to improve the experience of their games.”

As well as providing the mobile industry’s most cutting-edge testing solutions, Bitbar provides its customers with a full range of complementing testing services, including assisting in test automation implementation. Testdroid enables its customers to get the most robust and reliable apps and games built for their end-users with the fastest time to market.
