For the past few months, we have been working on the new policy of the free plan for Bitbar Public Cloud. Below is the summary regarding the new policy.
N.B. If you are a sub-user of a paying account, this has no impact on your Public Cloud access. This change won’t affect Private Cloud or On-Premise customers on the use of your dedicated environment.
What is the new policy
- Users with trial plan will have a 30-day free access to our trial devices.
- All devices are paid/metered devices for users with a paying subscription.
- All reports and test runs will be still accessible after the 30-day trial.
Why are we updating the policy
From the day of the first customer at Bitbar Testing (previously Testdroid Cloud), the vision of building the greatest cloud testing platform and providing ever better services to our paying customers has never changed.
To maximize the value and benefits for our paying customers, we will be more dedicated to focusing on the critical improvements to Bitbar Testing and providing more responsive help and support to our premium users.
How does this affect your access to Bitbar Testing
- For trial users, your 30-day trial will be in effect as soon as we make the change during next week.
- For paying customers, your access to Bitbar Testing will not be affected as long as you have an active subscription or are entitled to our paid devices.
What will happen after the 30-day trial
The 30-day trial is a great starting point to evaluate if Bitbar Testing is the go-to-solution to your testing needs (We definitely think so!).
Though all reports and testing results will be always accessible through Web UI as well as using API, you will be required to subscribe to one of our plans to start a new test run and gain the access to all of our devices (Check out our plans and pricing). However, if you can’t make a decision of being our premium user when the 30-day trial ends, we’ll be here ready to serve you when you change your mind.
When will it take place
The update is planned to happen earliest next Wednesday, April 12th, on which there’ll be a new release coming to Bitbar Testing. So in addition to the change to 30-day trial, new features can also be expected. Be sure to check them out at our Documentations.
Last but not the least, the 30-day trial only applies to the users who have activated Bitbar Testing accounts. If you don’t remember your login username, you can sign up for a new account.
Should you have any questions towards the new policy, reply to this email and we’ll provide answers to your questions as soon as possible.
Happy testing and see you in the cloud!
