Time to time we cover new frameworks here at Testdroid Blog and despite UIAutomator really isn’t a new framework for Android app testing, some things have changed quite a lot from the version 1.x to 2.0. That being said, the fundamental purpose of UIAutomator framework hasn’t changed and it still allows its users to focus on UI testing and provides a lightweight, but very efficient and easy-to-learn API to get things done fast.

How to run Espresso tests in Testdroid Cloud

Dear Testdroiders,

A couple of months back Google open sourced their latest Android Test automation framework – called Espresso. Since, there has been noticeable amount of excitement around this new framework that was initially introduced already at Google Test Automation Conference 2013 in New York at the end of April.

Testdroid Recorder 4.2 is out!

Hello everyone,

We’re proud to announce that the new version of Testdroid Recorder just got released! In this release – version 4.2 – we’ve done some major improvements on reported issues and streamlined some of the stability issues. The most significant improvement was the stack-traces related issues in Testdroid Recorder, that all have been now fixed.

Testdroid Recorder 3.7 is out with incredible UX smoothness

Hi all,

after a month we would like to present new version of Testdroid Recorder. In this release we have focused on a bunch of usability improvements. For instance we have streamlined our Run In Cloud feature, added an “Update Recorder” button that appears when a newer version of Testdroid Recorder is available and we have also added a “Report a problem” button on every wizard page. Testdroid Recorder 3.6 is out

Hi all,
we are very proud to announce that new release of Testdroid Recorder is out. We are going to introduce couple of new features – especially new view, which we called Testdroid Cloud Results. We also extended Testdroid Tools – Resign APK With Default Debug Key of ability to inject extra permissions into resigned application. There are also small fixes included in the newest version.
